Cast Brass and Bronze Alloys
There is a large variety of brass and bronze alloys readily available; the bold listed alloys are the most frequently cast in our our foundry. We also cast high purity copper alloys.
High Purity Copper: C80100, C80410, C811100
High purity copper is used in corrosion and oxidation resistant applications; electrical and thermal conductors, oxygen nozzles and cooling plates.
Red Brasses: C83300, C83400, C83450, C83600, C83800, C84200, C84400, C84500 C84800
The red brasses are commonly cast into plates, urns, pipe fittings, pump housings and valves.
Yellow Brasses: C85200, C85400, C85500, C85700 and C85800
The yellow brasses are economical with excellent casting and machining properties; mostly used in machine parts, gears, ornamental and decorative pieces.
Manganese Bronze: C86100, C86200, C86300, C86400, C86500, C86700, C86800
The toughest of all the copper alloys chiefly used in heavy duty high wear machine components.
Tin Bronzes:`C90200, C90300, C90500, C90700, C90900, C91000, C91100, C91300, C916.00, C91700
Leaded Tin Bronzes: C92200, C92300, C92500, C92600, C92700, C92800. C92900, C92900
High leaded Tin Bronzes: C93200, C93400, C93500, C936.00, C93700, C93800, C93900, C94300, C94400, C94500
The tin bronzes have fairly high strength, good wear resistance and excellent corrosion resistance.
Aluminum Bronze: C95200, C95300, C95400, C95410, C95500, C95600, C95700(Superstone), C95800
The aluminum bronzes are noted for their high corrosion resistance. used for marine hardware: excellent for bearings, propellers.
Silicon Bronze: C87600, C87610, C87800
Silicon bronzes are used valve stems, valve bodies, pump components, statuary and decorative castings.
